Lawyer and entrepreneur
Since 1992, I have worked at various large law firms in the Netherlands, both as a lawyer and as a partner. As a partner, I have managed the Eindhoven office of AKD and I have been in charge of the corporate / M&A practice of Pels Rijcken. Between 2006 and 2010, I broadened my professional horizon as managing partner of the management investment company Penguin Ventures. This operational experience in private equity makes me an all-round advisor, specifically in the technical, whole-sale industry. In the second half of 2020, the first ideas for TRIBU started to develop.
Corporate / M&A specialist
I have extensive experience within a broad transaction practice. Subsequently, I have worked with various clients, such as mid-market family-owned businesses, entrepreneurs and private equity firms. Within private equity, I have focused specifically on family offices and investment groups. Many of my clients also operate internationally.
Other interests
Every year, I teach the course ‘legal M&A aspects’ as part of the Business Valuation Course at the Rotterdam School of Management. Furthermore, I teach various guest courses to master’s students of the law faculty of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Since September of 2019, I am a member of the supervisory board of the Nederlands Kamerkoor.

Lawyer and entrepreneur
Since 2014, I have been working as a lawyer. I started my career at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. In 2018, I joined Pels Rijcken to help expand the corporate / M&A practice. This career step has sparked my interest to become an entrepreneur and build a strong team. The start of TRIBU in 2021 has marked the beginning of that journey.
Corporate / M&A specialist
I have been involved in several M&A transactions, varying from extensive international projects to notable mid-markets transactions in the Netherlands. The past few years, I have also gained significant experience in setting up joint ventures and management participations. In this line of work, I have noticed that it is crucial to fully comprehend the mutual relationships and interests. Therefore, I see it as an added value to my work that I can assist the clients with these matters as well. Mainly with limited auctions and large restructurings, I have regularly fulfilled the job of project manager, next to my advisory role.

Since 2019, I have been working as a corporate/M&A lawyer. I previously worked at the corporate practice of Pels Rijcken and as of 1 October 2022, I joined TRIBU. TRIBU’s modern approach and entrepreneurial nature are an excellent fit with my vision of our legal profession.
Corporate / M&A specialist
In several M&A transactions, I advised a diverse range of clients. These transactions cover large international auction processes as well as Dutch transactions for entrepreneurs, private equity, family businesses and family offices. In addition, I have been regularly involved in restructurings, real estate transactions and other corporate law issues.
Other interests
In the spring and summer, I enjoy spending time on the water and participating in races on a lemsteraak.
